Stop touching your face at your desk

Rubbing your eyes, resting your chin on your hand, touching your nose on a video call: most face touching is automatic. Habitron uses your webcam to give you a quick beep the moment it happens.

Why you touch your face so often

Face touching is mostly unconscious. It spreads germs from your hands to your eyes, nose and mouth, can irritate skin and eyes, and on camera it is something other people notice more than you do.

How Habitron works

Turn it on while you work. It tracks your hands and face through the webcam and beeps when a hand enters the zones you choose. Hands away, beeping stops. A keyboard shortcut toggles it on and off without leaving your work.

Private and lightweight

Everything runs on your computer. No video is recorded or uploaded, and there is no account to create.

Questions

Does it work during Zoom or Teams calls?

On most computers the webcam can be shared between apps, but some systems allow only one app at a time. If your call app takes the camera, start Habitron between calls.

Which platforms are supported?

Mac (Apple silicon), Windows 10 and 11, and Android.
